Fixing lost files


You're likely to get lost files when you open updated levels and color models with Animo 2.0. This is because pathnames are different on UNIX (i.e. NEXTSTEP / OpenStep / SGIs) and on NT, and so the old pathnames in the files will no longer be valid.

There are two ways you can fix these lost files. See Using the lost file finder below, or Using the command line utilities.

Using the lost file finder

Animo 2.0 has a lost file finder - just like earlier versions of Animo. This appears when you open any production file that has references to lost files (i.e. files that are no longer in their stated location). You can use this to find your lost files, in the same way that you've always done.
